Renewables
Renewable
energy generation facilities have always been part of
Trimark's client base. Our revenue meters and SCADA systems
(Data Processing Gateways – DPGs) are installed at dozens of
biomass and cogeneration facilities, and we continue to install
new systems at similar facilities. In addition to cogeneration,
wind and solar have become wildly popular in recent years.
CAISO Participating Intermittent Resource
Program (PIRP)
The CAISO's
PIRP was launched in 2004 to encourage
intermittent producers (at the time, wind
farms) to participate in the California
forward energy market without exposure to
hourly or daily imbalance charges. Since
that time, Trimark has worked with many wind
generators to integrate their real-time
facility data with the CAISO, allowing them
to bid into the forward markets. At these
wind sites, Trimark's installed equipment
list includes revenue meters, DPGs, and also
meteorological stations engineered to
satisfy all program requirements.

Solar Metering and Monitoring
Trimark is a
supporter of the California Solar Initiative
(CSI), and is proud to have our meters and
meteorological equipment installed at
hundreds of commercial and utility sites
throughout the state, as well as across the
country. Because of our insistence upon
using true revenue-grade meters
(MV-90-readable) and our Validating,
Editing, and Estimation (VEE) capabilities,
we have become the provider of choice for
solar PPAs or anyone demanding the
highest-quality and highest-reliability
generation data.
Building upon
our reputation with CSI, Trimark was also
chosen by Southern California Edison to
perform revenue metering, DPG, and
meteorological station installation and ISO
integration services at their 2MW
“PIRP-ready” pilot solar site in Fontana,
California.
In recognition of Trimark's
contributions to promoting solar generation
in California, our Director of Operations
was invited to deliver a presentation at the
Solar Electric Power Association's (SEPA's)
Solar Metering and Performance Expo, held at
the San Diego Convention Center. To download
